Ken Williams

Ken Williams has spent the past 20 years of his career with Waffle House, Inc. serving as Vice President Director of Real Estate.  In this position, Ken is responsible for the oversight of new site acquisition and restaurant development of the 52 year old Atlanta-based 24-hour chain restaurant.  He has been a volunteer for Hope for Children for the past 15+ years and was invited to join the Board of Directors of HFC in 2007.  Ken grew up in South Carolina and is a graduate of the University of South Carolina.  He enjoys reading, camping and is active in the sport of triathlon.  He and his wife Wendy of 23 years reside in Lawrenceville, GA along with their four children.  Wendy is a teacher in special education for Gwinnett County Public Schools in the Autism Program.  They are members of the Cornerstone Church of Christ in Duluth, GA, where they serve in the teaching program.  Ken has served for the past several years as Chairman of the Cornerstone Building Committee directing an active renovation program for a newly acquired worship facility.

Erica Bailey

Erica Bailey is a resident of Suwanee, Georgia.  She graduated from Clemson University in December of 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics/Concentration Actuarial Science.  After graduation she was employed by Liberty Mutual Insurance Company where she worked for 9 years as an underwriter for commercial accounts. During much of that time Erica spent her “non-working” hours with various ministries within her church.  As a volunteer for several years, she worked with teenagers, college students and single women to help strengthen their faith.  After marrying in 1998, she and her husband both continued to work with the teen ministry until the birth of their first child.  At that time Erica decided to leave her career to become a full time mother. She now lives with her husband, Russell, and their three children.  Her hobbies include reading, camping, and playing sports.   Erica joined the Board in June of 2004 because of her desire to help children in need.   

Alex Hunter

Mr. Hunter has over 22 years of healthcare experience and has worked as a healthcare consultant with with physician groups and hospitals throughout his career. He is a frequent speaker on the topic of physician compensation planning and he has published articles in various publications. His educational background includes a Masters degree from Harding University in Memphis, Tennessee and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri.  He lives in Duluth, Georgia with his wife Patti, and their three children Halie, Madison, and Austin.

Ron Vance

Ron Vance resides in Lawrenceville, Georgia, with his wife, Kim, and their four children.  He is a Principal at EthosPartners, a national healthcare consulting and management firm based in Atlanta, GA. His primary focus is on the inter-relationships between physicians, physician organizations, hospitals and other healthcare providers and payors.  Mr. Vance began his healthcare career in 1986 when he served as litigation counsel with a law firm specializing in the representation of physicians and hospitals.  Since that time, he has developed extensive experience and expertise as a consultant to numerous hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare organizations.  He remains licensed to practice law in the states of Missouri, Illinois, and Georgia, although he does not provide legal advice to EthosPartners clients.

Gina Alexander

Gina Lopez Alexander is a resident of Los Angeles, California. She is an entrepreneur and the CEO of Gina Alexander, Inc., where she is a handbag designer, innovator for photo handbags, Designer for Jimi Hendrix Handbags, and appears on HSN and QVC.  Gina opened a retail kiosk in Hollywood in 2000 selling handbags to raise money for her adoption for her daughter Katelyn Alexander 2002, in which HOPE for Children successfully assisted.  Since then she has been an advocate for adoptions and has helped four other children find families through the sales of her handbags.  In 2007 Gina was named one of the most influential Filipinas in the United States an event held in Washington D.C.  She was endorsed by Senator Hilary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, and Gloria Caoile who holds the highest-ranking position of the Asian Labor movement in the U.S.  Gloria is Gina's mentor.  Gina and her husband, Richard, Alexander have been married for 13 years.  In January of 2008, Gina joined the HOPE for Children Board of Directors.  Gina has been a volunteer for HOPE for Children for 17 years.

Carol Stroud

Carol Stroud is a resident of Lawrenceville, Georgia. She graduated from University of Tennessee, Chattanooga in 1984 with a B.A. in Communications/Public Relations. After 15 years of working in sales and technical project management, Carol left her position in the fall of 2007 to form GWC, Inc. GWC provides project management consulting services to health care payors. Carol and her husband Greg have two children, Wilson and Elizabeth. The Stroud’s are Hope for Children adoptive parents, having adopted Elizabeth in June, 2000 from Shaanxi, China. Carol joined the Board of Directors at HFC in 2006 because of a desire to contribute to HFC’s ongoing excellence in uniting children in need of a loving family with the individuals longing to complete their families through adoption.

Tim Kinsey

Tim Kinsey is a native of Mobile, Alabama and a resident of Georgia since 1989.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Marketing from the University of South Alabama.  After graduation, he completed a year as a Campus Minister at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC.  He was then able to exercise his creative talents as an advertising writer for the Macy’s Corporation, which brought him to Atlanta. Tim married his wife Laurel in 1991, and they had two sons in the years to follow. In 2001, Tim and Laurel began the process to adopt a daughter from China, and in February 2003, that dream was realized as they met their beautiful daughter for the first time. The Kinseys now live in Dacula, and are busy with the daily life of a two-career family with three busy children. Tim is a National Training Manager for a Fortune 500 insurance company, and is actively involved in their church, where he is responsible for member communications and the church website. Tim joined the HFC board in 2007 so that he could help in the process of children finding their forever families.
