H.O.P.E. for Children, is a registered in Barbados as a children’s charity (No. 508). It was established in 2001, to provide assistance to underprivileged ‘at risk’ children in primary schools ( Ages 6 yrs to 11 yrs). The basic needs programme was started first to supply children with food, school uniforms and supplies, hygienic supplies and other essentials. After taking care of basic needs, Hope for Children has implemented other developmental programmes since then to ensure that the children grow up to become progressive, productive well rounded adults.

Children’s “Special Needs” Program
Children are taught how to focus and concentrate. Children who need counseling services are also assisted.

Children’s “Life Skills Empowerment Vocational Skills” Program
This program is to assist in empowering the youth with life skills that will increase their chances of being successful in their future. Skills such as rejection to drug usage, anger management, self esteem building and teamwork will also be implemented.

This Health and Safety program offers self defense to build assertion, awareness and self protection strategies among children. It also is designed to promote fitness and facilitate a variety of sporting activities. Tension Release & Social Sports.

This program is to assist with School homework helping and weekend remedial classes.
