"The trip to China was fabulous. We got to visit the orphanage and generally see everything we needed to see. We had a wonderful time, enjoyed the food, were sooo pampered by the HOPE for Children guide. She is incredibly good to her 'charges.' From comparing notes with other families who were traveling with other agencies, I can authoritatively say that HOPE for Children is excellent in selecting guides for the journey. Our HOPE for Children guide truly went above and beyond (for example, she went shopping with us to guide us around and translate). Other families reported that their guides just left them alone in the hotel and one group even had 3 separate guides within the first week! Incredible memories. "Our HOPE for Children guide in China was incredible in every way. We can't say enough good things! She was a great servant and anticipated and met every need. She knew all the bureaucratic processes involved in the adoption and how to handle them as efficiently as possible. We were always at the front of every line, and things just seemed to work perfectly. She was a great tour guide and we really value all the memories of the places we visted and the insight we got into Chinese culture and history. She handled herself in such a confident and professional way that we always felt secure and taken care of in every situation. And considering she had to spend 8 days away from her husband (and being a newleywed), we appreciate all she did that much more.
