David and Jana
Dear Birth
Mother,
First we want to thank
you for your gift, which is the greatest gift. We don’t know your
circumstances, but we are sure this is the most difficult decision you will
ever make. We are both humbled and blessed we may be given the gift of
raising your child. If given this honor we want to assure you we will do
everything in our power to ensure your child knows he or she is loved like
no other. We will give him or her a firm foundation of love, security,
family values, and a good education. We both believe children are the
future and a treasure; which needs all the love and nurturing possible so
they may become happy, healthy, well rounded, and productive adults.
We have been together
for 20+ years. We met in college and were friends and along the way it
evolved into the wonderful marriage we have today. We are truly devoted to
each other, and have always wanted a family. We have had many wonderful
adventures together and feel a child will complete our family.
We have been blessed
with many nieces and nephews with some living in the same city. We have had
lots of memories and fun times together and we love them like they were our
own children, but the reality is at the end of the day, they go home to
their parents. During the holidays we get together with both sides of our
family and share a wonderful family experience opening gifts, preparing the
meal and sharing time with each other. The enjoyment we get watching our
family opening their gifts, playing board games and the family time we share
during our holiday meal is incredible. However, the reality is when all is
said and done we go back to our house knowing we are missing a major piece
to our family picture. We have always had the desire to have children of
our own to share all these special moments we cherish in life. No matter
how much we love our nieces and nephews give to us, we can’t take them home
as our own.
We are happily part of
a large wonderful and loving family, and it is our deepest desire to have a
child to love and to make ours a whole family.
We both love spending
time together and with our family. We enjoy traveling and experiencing new
cultures. We enjoy the outdoors through swimming, canoeing, bicycling and
just taking long walks together. David enjoys sports and plays golf and
attempts to play softball and flag football with friends. Jana enjoys a
variety of crafts, shopping with her nieces and cooking. We also enjoy
going to the movies, plays, theme parks, or even spending a quiet evening at
home curled up on the couch and watching our favorite movies.
We have not provided
photos of the nursery because we want to personalize its decoration based on
the gender of our child. Our home has four bedrooms and three baths so
space will not be an issue. The photo album we created was a labor of love
and we hope it will allow you to see not only pictures of us, but also the
loving family we are so fortunate to have. We believe it also shows the
love we have to offer and share with a child.
Sincerely,
David and Jana
